What to Carry

What to Carry.

What to carry.

A pair of trekking boots.

A pair of trekking boots will be ideal to carry along with you. This will help with your comfort while climbing and also avoid sliding and blisters because of the long journey.

Socks with wool.

The wool socks will help with the temperature to warm your body and also prevent blisters and have your body dry.

Down jacket.

Ideal to keep your body warm body warm because of the high temperature of the mountain. Make sure it is big enough to cover your whole body.

Gloves.

Gloves will be used to cover your hands which should be lightweight to keep your arms warm.

Waterproof clothes.

At some point in the rain forest, you might experience rain while trekking, so it is advised without taking any risks to have a raincoat with you, where it the last, which should be waterproof.

Sunglasses.

Used to protect your eyes from the rain experiences in the rain forest.

Head beanie

Trekking trousers.

Many people think of wearing heavy jeans but that is not a good practice. We usually advise using trekking trousers. We usually advise having at least 2 pairs of trousers and maybe having long underwear

Safari Itinerary.

Day 1: Nairobi – Moshi Tanzania.

Leave Nairobi in the morning arriving at Namanga border at 10:00 hours. Continue to Arusha for lunch after immigration formalities. Drive to Moshi where you spent the afternoon and spent the night.

Day 2: Marangu – Mandara huts.

On the second, is the day of safari hiking or climbing Mount Kilimanjaro? So, wake very early in the morning from your lodge, have breakfast then have a transfer to Mount Kilimanjaro Marangu gate for climbing. Take about 50 minutes to a 1-hour drive. Head to Mount Kilimanjaro offices, sign up for climbing, and assign porters to carry your staff. Leave the gate and start ascending with our guide while the porters will have to hike a little bit faster because they are used. Make sure you carry personal items like extra clothes, lunch parks, and mostly checked, heavy clothes.  Lunch will be taken en route with the porters having prepared it. Climbing for around 9 kilometers to Mandara where you will have dinner and overnight with accommodation of about 6 – 8 persons. 

Day 3: Mandara huts – Horombo huts.

Wake up very early morning on 3rd day of hiking, have breakfast already prepared by the porters, and continue with the hiking Horombo hut which will be the next place you will spend your night. This will be hiking for about 10 hours having hiked for about 15 kilometers. Lunch will be served en route while dinner and overnight at the huts.

Day 4: Horombo hut – Kibo hut.

On 4th day of climbing, wake up in the morning, have breakfast with the rest of the climbers, and meet hikers who are descending Mount Kilimanjaro, can also have a chat with them about how it has been and the experience they had. Continue with the hiking passing through Mawenzi hut to Kibo hut with lunch en-route carried by the porters. Remember to take a lot of water and energy drinks. Kibo huts will be for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Kibo huts – Uhuru peak – Descend to Horombo huts.

5th day the last day of hiking, making history in your life having climbed the tallest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. Wake up in the morning, have breakfast, and have the last kick of hiking to the peak of the mountain Uhuru peak. Hiking time will be 6 hours, where this is the most difficult step of climbing. Get to the very to peak of Uhuru where you take pictures of the mountain and yourself. Great moments as you get to the peak. After a few hours, start descending to Horombo huts. Dinner and overnight will be served.

Day 6: Last descent – Moshi.

This will be the last day of the descent, after having your breakfast, have the last descent to Marangu gates before getting a transfer to Moshi hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Moshi – Nairobi.

Last day of your adventure trip, board a shuttle with our guide and travel back to Nairobi Kenya.
